We're excited to share our approvals for Batch 6 of grants! A total of five grants have been approved in this batch, amounting to $220,000 in funding. Check out the descriptions below to learn more about each grant.
We keep working hard to add new RFPs to the list, as many of them are being worked on, and some have even been completed! We encourage you to go through our RFPs dashboard on DeWork for inspiration before applying, and to get a sense of which RFPs are still outstanding. You're also welcome to apply with your own ideas, or suggest new RFPs that should be added to the list.
On another note, it's been around 3 months since we launched the OGP. Stay tuned for the next blog update, as we will reflect on the first few months of the OGP and summarize what we've accomplished so far.
Margined Protocol
$50,000 (in OSMO)
Max Grabner
$12,500 (in OSMO)
$37,500 (in OSMO)
To deploy Margined's perpetual protocol on Osmosis, in conjunction with its governance module. As part of the grant, Margined has committed to airdrop 5% of their total token supply to Osmosis users, with some predetermined rules which will be detailed by the Margined team.
Perpetual swaps are an important DeFi product that can be used for speculation, as well as to hedge risks for users on Osmosis.
Yieldmos
45,000 USDC
octo#0887, kaku#6523, geo#2483
25,000 USDC
10,000 USDC
10,000 USDC
Retroactive grant for the development of Yieldmos to date, and a further grant for: 1) Non-custodial compounding improvements, such as a mobile integration for auto compounding both staking and pool rewards on Osmosis, and bringing chain-specific staking rewards to Osmosis for LPing; 2) Building a bonding GAMM market.
This grant will serve to increase the features available on Yieldmos for Osmosis users, which will improve functionality and add to its use cases. Yieldmos has also committed to allocating at least 5% of the community portion of the airdrop to Osmosis users. The airdrop is estimated to occur in more than 6 months time.
Leap Wallet
$20,000 (in OSMO)
Leap
$5,000 (in OSMO)
$15,000 (in OSMO)
To fund the integration of Osmosis with Leap Wallet, further enhancing the experience for Leap users.
The Leap Wallet team has kept users front of mind while building, which aligns with Osmosis’ focus on user experience. Hence, Leap Wallet will be a great alternative to Keplr for Osmosis users.
Osmosis Custody Adoption
75,000 USDC
Pine Street Labs
25,000 USDC, with an additional 10k USDC for each successful custodian integration (excluding Fireblocks and Anchorage), up to a max of 50k USDC
To build support for Osmosis in their initial release of walletOS, which provides a technical backend to extend wallet functionality for enterprises, such as custodians.
Osmosis needs to make progress in getting enterprise and institutional support to increase institutional adoption. With WalletOS, institutional investors will have a place to securely store and participate with their OSMO tokens, which will help pave a path for more capital inflows into the Osmosis ecosystem.
Multi-sig Tool Development
$30,000 (in OSMO)
Notional
$20,000 (in OSMO)
$10,000 (in OSMO)
Retroactive grant for the development of the multisig tool, and a further grant to: 1) Merge the current version of the multi-sig with the upstream version; 2) Fix the multi-message feature.
Notional's multi-sig tool was created several months ago. It's been extremely useful for Osmosis users since then given the lack of multi-sig tooling available in the Osmosis ecosystem.
