DAODAO v3 and Ongoing Maintenance

Tooling
Funding Amount

$25,000

Applicant

DAODAO Team

Upfront

$25,000 (in USDC)

Completion

DAODAO is a one-stop subdao and multisig creation tool powering various subdaos on 11 chains in the ecosystem, allowing for advanced multisig execution actions on Osmosis from an easy to use UI. This grant funds the DAODAO team to execute on their DAODAO v3 roadmap and for general ongoing maintenance of the DAODAO platform. This roadmap includes features like: Forum Functionality, Crowdunded proposal deposits, Voting enhancements, Multisig UI, and more. While this funding will contribute to the v3 roadmap, it is being structured as a maintenance grant. Funding will be granted up front to support past and future developer labor hours and ongoing infrastructure costs for the DAODAO team. Other teams, such as Neutron and the Cosmos Hub (via AADAO) have also agreed to commit funding to DAODAO roadmap items.

DAODAO is critical infrastructure for Osmosis, custodying tens of millions of dollars in value and powering roughly 10 key subdaos for the Osmosis ecosystem including the liquidity subdao, the rate limit subdao, and the Osmosis Support Lab. Beginning in January, the Osmosis Grants Program will also run on DAODAO. Ensuring ongoing maintenance for DAODAO helps keep this key Osmosis subdao infrastructure in place.

Mesh Security - Final Backend Development

Infrastructure
Funding Amount

$65,000

Applicant

Decentrio

Upfront

Completion

Mesh security is in its final stages of development, but needs final backend development to be feature - complete and prepared for a testnet launch. OGP and AADAO have agreed to split the cost of this backend development, and to contract the work out to Decentrio, who are being assisted by Ethan Frey in an advisory capacity. The full scope of work for the grant is outlined in the the SoW doc linked below. Decentrio will complete all of the features outlined in the Mesh v2 roadmap including: Virtual Staking, Native immediate unbonding, Slashing, Consumer chain mooning protection, and more. As well as implement various price feed improvements to ensure Much of the work in the roadmap has already been completed by Decentrio, making this grant partially retroactive (contingent on code review by a party familiar with the Mesh codebase).

Mesh security has been a long-awaited feature for Osmosis, but development work has slowed due to a lack of dedicated funding for these final development features. This grant will be the final development grant for Mesh security, allowing for a dedicated testnet to be set up between Osmosis and various consumer chain networks.
