IBC Rate Limit Improvements
$40,000 (In USDC)
Range
$7,500
$7,500
$25,000
This grant proposes to fund Range to research, design, and propose to Osmosis governance a rate-limit setting subdao in charge of adjusting rate limits on individual asset inflows to, and outflows from, Osmosis. This subdao will also have the capability to reset rate-limits when necessary in times of high volatility. The grant will also fund improvements to Range’s IBC rate-limits dashboard to allow the subdao to set rate limits based on historical inflows and outflows.
The execution of the grant can be divided into three core deliverables: Delivery of an internal report, to be reviewed and signed off by the Osmosis team, including SubDAO Core capabilities and functions, processes and playbooks for each function (add, edit, pause) and different scenarios, organization and operational risks analysis. Specification and Implementation of required IBC rate-limit contract changes to allow the subdao to perform all of the functions necessary to fulfill its role, specification of required changes, implementation of the changes in the IBC CosmWasm contract, upgrade logic (if necessary), testing implementations, documentation preparation, governance proposal logic to grant DAO permissions. Development of the rate limit dashboards v2 (called IBC Workbench), Range will build dynamic and real-time versions of net inflows and outflows charts that will allow the subdao to set or change rate limits. This will live within the existing Range dashboard at https://ibc.range.org/, make filter capabilities by date, rate limit period, channel, etc, estimation capabilities for future rate limits based on config parameters and time series extrapolation, new asset and rate limit parameters simulations, configured by the user.
Celatone 2024 Support
$100,000 (in USDC)
Alles Labs
The grant aims to provide continued funding for the Celaton team to sustainably maintain both the current back and front ends of the Celatone explorer. Since its inception, the Celatone explorer has garnered significant achievements, establishing itself as an indispensable tool for numerous users and developers operating within the Osmosis and broader Cosmos ecosystems. Feedback from Osmosis developers underscores the invaluable utility of Celatone, with increasing recognition as the go-to resource for the community and integrators seeking to explore and engage with CosmWasm contracts. Notably, Celatone stands as the sole reliable method for viewing newly created pools, eliminating the need for cumbersome CLI commands.
The grant will encompass the following responsibilities: Perform continuous maintenance of the Celatone on Osmosis software and associated infrastructure for both the Osmosis mainnet and testnet networks throughout the agreed-upon one-year duration. Update the Celatone on Osmosis infrastructure code to align with the most recent node software version for both the Osmosis mainnet and testnet networks. Introduce and provide support for new features to synchronize with the latest Osmosis software version. Address, diagnose, and resolve all Celatone on Osmosis issues and incidents pertaining to the Osmosis instance over the course of one year.
